Bartlesville’s Civic-Minded Businesses Are Contributing to Our Community’s Success

Bartlesville Companies Are Making a Difference
Examiner-Enterprise in partnership with local businesses
The Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise recently won the Oklahoma Press Association’s Community Leadership Award for their Night of Scholars and Champions scholarship program. The program recognizes the academic and athletic achievements of high school students and is sponsored by many local businesses, including the EE, Patriot Auto Group. Local students competed for over $17,000 in scholarships and prizes, including a new Chevrolet Cruze. “Bartlesville businesses have truly supported this opportunity to recognize the top students and athletes in the region,” said EE Assistant Editor Nathan Thompson.
Phillips 66
A mainstay in Bartlesville, Phillips 66 has contributed to numerous civic programs. Most recently, they donated $100,000 to the Northeast Oklahoma chapter of the American Red Cross to fund tornado and flood relief efforts. When the community needs help, businesses like Phillips 66 are a dependable and ever-ready partner.
Arvest Wealth Management
Arvest Wealth Management’s foundation – the Arvest Foundation, recently gave a $5,000 contribution to ARC Group Homes. Scott Thompson, senior vice president and trust officer, said, “We are very pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to support ARC Group Home’s important efforts to provide residential services for people who have developmental disabilities.”
