Jane Phillips Medical Center traces its history over 90 years. Opened in 1922, Washington County Memorial Hospital was the result of a community effort to pay tribute to the local veterans of World War I. Jane Phillips Hospital was completed in 1952. Built by the Frank Phillips Foundation, the facility was named in the memory of Jane Gibson Phillips, wife of Frank Phillips, who founded Phillips Petroleum Company.
Jane Phillips Hospital was operated as a community facility until 1958 when it was deeded to the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma.
In 1969, voters approved a referendum, which allowed county commissioners to lease the equipment and the facilities of Memorial Hospital to Jane Phillips Episcopal Hospital, thus streamlining health care services in the Bartlesville area. The 10-story patient tower was completed on the main campus in 1982.
Jane Phillips Medical Center offers a complete range of services, including general medicine, surgery, cardiopulmonary care, maternal and infant care, cancer treatment, geriatric care, orthopedics, and physical medicine.
